The 38th Annual Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala Celebrates Unity and Community

Sacramento, CA (Vocus) Jan. 29, 2010 -- The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (www.sachcc.org) is hosting its 38th Annual Business Awards and Recognition Banquet on Friday, Feb. 26, at the Sacramento Convention Center. The banquet which has drawn nearly 1,000 attendees in the past, is the formal event Sacramento waits for every year.

This year’s theme is Unity and Community. This theme reflects the importance of the Sacramento community working together in these tough economic times.

“As we face challenging times, we celebrate the unity Sacramento business owners have shown one another,” said Steve Gándola, President and CEO of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is actively supporting the needs of our business owners and professionals during these trying times.”

This year’s business awards will recognize a businessman of the year, businesswoman of the year, corporate advocate, non-profit, and a young professional of the year. A Unity award will also be given to an individual who has made a positive impact in the community.

“We are proud to be able to bring together a diverse group that celebrates the importance of the Hispanic community’s contribution to our local economy, growth, and vitality,” said Rosa Escutia, Chair of the Board for the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “Be part of this dynamic event and celebrate in high-style the unity of our regional community.”

In addition to the hundreds of business owners and professionals that will be attending this event, local community leaders, and elected officials will also be in attendance.

The evening will be filled with music, dancing, and live entertainment. Join us as we celebrate and honor those chamber members who have gone above and beyond.

The 38th Annual Business Awards and Recognition Banquet will be taking place on Friday, February 26th, 2010 at the Sacramento Convention Center. Networking will start at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m.
